Telehealth

As someone who loves to shout the benefits of psychological flexibility… flexibility in therapy delivery was not a far reach for me.

I also loved the ability for my clients to meet with me without the restrictions of finding parking, navigating traffic, and that pesky thing called work. I’ve met clients while they’re in their car, in their office, or outside in a private setting. As long as I can get help to you if an emergency happens, we can probably meet there. Most clients prefer meeting with me from the privacy of their home. However, as I said, the flexibility of alternative locations has been extremely useful when the situation called for it.

Payment Policy

I do not currently accept insurance. I accept all major credit cards (excluding American Express), debit cards, and Zelle. Payment must be paid at the time of service. Rates are subject to adjustment. When rates are adjusted, clients are notified one months in advance.

Credit Card Policy

In accordance with our Cancellation and No Show Policy, Nnake Counseling retains all current and future scheduled clients' credit card information on file. The client's credit card will not be charged until service is rendered or in the event that the client has a late cancellation or no-show without a sufficient cancellation notice. This information is strictly confidential and highly secured. In the event that a client fails to pay for services rendered and/or untimely cancellation/no-show, every attempt will be made to collect past-due amounts. After 60 days, past-due accounts will be turned over to collections.

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance by calling or e-mailing to avoid being charged $70 for the session.

Extended Time Policy

If a session runs longer, the fee will be prorated by the current session's price. Extended sessions are billed in 15-minute increments based on the current session's rate.

Are You Ready For Online Therapy?

  1. Do you have a laptop, desktop PC, or Mac? Older devices may struggle to run the program properly.

  2. Is your space equipped with a modern internet connection that is reliable? Connecting directly to your router using an Ethernet cable for wired internet is recommended though wireless networks can work fine as well.

  3. Have you downloaded Chrome or Firefox to your computer to use as your internet browser? Standard browsers such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, or Safari on a Mac may encounter compatibility issues with the video software as those browsers are not as up-to-date with modern code.

  4. Do you have access to a working webcam? Most modern laptops have built-in webcams, which will work great for online therapy! If you have a desktop PC or Mac, you may need to purchase and set up an external webcam.

  5. Are you comfortable navigating computer software? The online portal is easy to navigate and does not require any training to use. However, those who find computers to be confusing or frustrating in general may not be a good fit for online therapy.

  6. Do you have a private location in which you can feel at ease to conduct your session?
